Talenthouse Creative Brief

Talenthouse is the world’s platform for creative collaboration, connecting aspiring talent, established artists and brand advertisers. Hosting some of the world’s most iconic brands, Nokia, Playstation, Nikon and Warner Music, Talenthouse have invited final year students studying Digital Media Production or Animation, to create a new animated video showcasing the vast opportunities available at Talenthouse.

Appointed a brief purposely unrestricted, students are encouraged to “surprise” Talenthouse with their own creative ideas. Provided with only a colour palette and optional script, students have begun to develop storyboards and graphic assets unique to each students creative style.

The project is based on reviving Talenthouse’s existing promotional video, featured below:

Following tutorial sessions with lecturer Daniel Bacchus, the project will see videos formed using the Adobe After Effects software.

Presently during pre-production stages, students this week have been presenting their ideas to gain feedback from both students and faculty.

The chosen student as selected by Talenthouse and tutor, Daniel Bacchus, will receive a host of inspiring prizes including a $500 creative bursary, exposure across Talenthouse and Sheffield Hallam University platforms and their video used in Talenthouse online promotional material.

Whilst submission closes on  May 4, 2014, we invite you commencing May 5, to May 12, to visit the Talenthouse website where you can vote for your favourite video.

The winner will be accounted May 21, their video and student profile will be featured here on Digital Media Production, Capture | Mac.
