We are delighted to announce that Sheffield Hallam University will be launching the LGBT+ Allies Network on 31^st October, City View, Owen Building, 4.00pm – 6.00pm.

The Allies network reinforces our organisations commitment to ensuring equality and inclusion across the university.  Being an ally means being an advocate, supporter and friend.  Someone that stands up for their colleagues and helps to create a working environment where LGBT+ colleagues feel included and accepted, standing up for and championing LGBT+ equality.

Professor John Leach, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of ACES and LGBT+ Champion said “I’m an ally because I believe in supporting everyone to live honestly as themselves”.  John will be speaking at the launch together with our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chris Husbands.
