In the March meeting, the first to use the name Applied Learning Academic Interest Group, we explored the idea of Applied Learning. We built upon previous activities to share practice of authentic learning. This time using a collaborative floor-based activity, and followed by a simulation of a strategic university meeting (Ambridge University!), we elicited some of the benefits, risks and enablers of adopting an ‘applied learning’ philosophy and pedagogy.
