Success at the European Business Analyst Conference
At the end of September Claire, Clinton, Kathryn and Lauren from our Strategic Portfolio and Business Change (SPBC) team gave presentations to an audience of their peers from across Europe at the IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) Business Analysis European Conference 2017.
The team delivered the following presentations:
- Continuous Improvement Service – A Journey from Inception to Reality in 18 months’ – Lauren Wagstaff and Claire Ward
- Prototyping with Visio – Kathryn Roughton and Clinton Nobrega
They all received extremely positive feedback and acclaim for both their accomplishments and engaging delivery style and a lot of interest was generated from other institutions and organisations who were keen to hear more.
As a result they have been asked to deliver the Continuous Improvement talk at Leeds University, Huddersfield University and to the UCISA (Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association) Project and Change Management Group; and Plusnet and York University have asked the team to deliver the Prototyping with Visio presentation.
In an industry which is dominated by the private sector this is a fantastic success for the team and for SHU. Well done everyone!
New release of SHU website – Well done Zoe!
The latest version of the SHU website was successfully released at the beginning of October. Director of Marketing, Justin Cole commented “it’s a huge step forward for ourselves and DTS, and we are very proud of the outcome. Whilst there is a very large cast list to thank for this release, I’d like to especially extend my gratitude to Zoe Sibeko for her efforts over the last few months“.
Enhancements to the site include:
- an improved search function
- exposed navigation with a primary search bar for quick search – running across whole of site
- improved back-end search offering more accurate results
- clearer design for the homepage central search bar
- popular searches referenced in the search bar to aid user
- improved typography and visual styling across the entire site (particularly the home page to provide an enhanced user experience)
- optimisation of design for tablet and mobile use (alongside desktop)
