By 2021 the Yorkshire & Humber Clinical Research Network aim to develop a distinct vision to drive meaningful health gains both within and outside the region.
The aspiration is that by 2040, i.e. in one generation’s time, the Yorkshire and Humber population will experience substantial and on-going improvements in physical health; mental health; health-related quality of life; and health equity, beyond the expected current trajectory. In addition, Yorkshire and Humber researchers will have contributed towards UK and global health improvements and health and care strategies.
This meeting is aimed at Allied Health Professionals in the Yorkshire and Humber region, AHP managers, the research network staff, research delivery workforce and specialty research leads. It will showcase the contribution of Allied Health Professionals in the delivery of the Y & H Vision 2021. By turning the spotlight on Allied Health Professional research, we aim to raise awareness of the impact and reach that our diverse professions bring for the people of this region.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore potential new research collaborations across the different specialty groups. We will hear how to develop an effective research vision and strategy, and how AHPs are working both regionally and nationally to build research capacity and capability.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
