AHPs in Research: Amplifying Impact

03/10/2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Celebrate Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in research with the National Institute for Health Research

AHPs represent the third largest professional workforce in health and social care — their contributions are critical to the development and delivery of high quality, patient centred clinical research.

AHPs in Research: Amplifying Impact will bring together AHPs already research active or looking to get involved in research.

Our programme of keynote speakers includes Hugh McKenna, Dean of Medical School Development, Ulster University, from the Research Excellence framework Advisory Panel. Along with workshops, posters and case studies, together we will focus on and celebrate

  • The changing face of research
  • The changing face of healthcare and the importance of research, linking with the NHS Long Term Plan
  • Current impact, and widening our appreciation of ways to demonstrate impact

We will be looking for poster submissions to demonstrate how you have been working in new ways or have changed the way you are are able to interact with patients and researchers. This exhibit is an opportunity to share learning with colleagues and peers from across the community. You will have the chance to get feedback from a broad range of attendees, build your network and develop your presentation skills.
