Psychology, Sociology and Politics short placements

The placements run January to March, typically for 30 hours per week for 8 weeks and can be delivered virtually if required. The students develop a variety of skills during their studies that they can apply to your organisation including; research, problem-solving, data analysis and the understanding of human behaviour. They can bring the latest thinking to your projects with access to academic journals, survey and data analysis tools and specialist equipment.

Examples of previous placements;

    • Research Project: Good Neighbour Scheme- Finding out what services clients think would help them in the future to help them re-engage with the outside world post COVID
    • Working on a framework for measuring and evaluating programmes. Devising a monthly measurement dashboard building in qualitative feedback.
    • Customer services- Social media marketing/advertising, sales and post sales follow ups, administration building customer databases, analysing online customer reviews
    • Research questions arising from correspondence from constituents, such as what other MPs and the Government have said about an issue, helping the team analyse patterns in policy correspondence, data entry and presentation, working in Microsoft Excel.
