This site contains information relating to the various short placements that are integrated as part of Sheffield Hallam University degree courses.
What are they?
- Generally for second year students
- You can provide as many placement opportunities as you like (we cannot guarantee that all of your opportunities will be taken up, so please do bear this in mind)
- Unpaid as part of a students’ degree as it is attached to the curriculum
The below visual shows what months the placements need to take place in. Each area is different, for example one area may require students to do 120 hours over an 8 week period = 15 hours a week but another area may state it is flexible and may allow 120 hours over 4 weeks = 30 hours a week depending on what suits the employer and student;
Remember this opportunity is one of many, we recommend you email business@shu.ac.uk to be put in touch with someone from the Employer Partnerships team to discuss your needs and to further support you.
