Every student and member of staff at the University has 1TB of cloud storage on\u00a0OneDrive and you will see this as a prominent storage space when you start using Windows 10 and the new version of Office.<\/p>\n

You can access this now through a browser by visiting go.shu.ac.uk\/Office365<\/strong>. If you\u2019re asked to log in, enter your username* in the format username@hallam.shu.ac.uk<\/a> and your normal University password. (* Your username is the code you use to log into your University account \u00a0– eg if you log in using the code xy9422 then input \u00a0xy9422@hallam.shu.ac.uk<\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have a lot of files on your hard disk which you wish to copy to your OneDrive storage space before you move to Windows 10, it might take a while to complete. \u00a0Some people find it useful to leave it to run overnight<\/p>\n

Access OneDrive once you use Windows 10<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you start using Windows 10, your OneDrive files will be automatically available from Office applications and via Windows Explorer.\u00a0 This will allow you to save and access files in OneDrive in the same way that you currently access files stored on your network drives on any Windows 10 University Managed Desktop.\u00a0 Anything stored there will also be available from personal and mobile devices.<\/p>\n
