Microsoft uses your internal hard drive (currently partitioned into your C:Drive and D:Drive) for the installation of Windows 10. You will lose access to any files stored here (including those on your desktop) when the new operating system is deployed to you.<\/p>\n
Every student and member of staff has access to 1 TB or storage through their OneDrive account and the new version of Microsoft Office will save files there by default.\u00a0OneDrive is a useful storage space and\u00a0integrates really well with\u00a0software in\u00a0the new version of Office\u00a0but it’s worth remembering that you will only have this space while you are at the University and no-one else will have access to the files stored there when you leave – even if you’ve shared a link to them.<\/p>\n
