Events

We deliver an on-going programme of employer and apprenticeship engagement events aimed at business developers, for employer engagement and to assist in the development of communities of practice.

These can be delivered by Directorates and across Faculties, however, if you are planning to hold an event, please contact BESE and we’ll provide you with support in areas such as:

  • Expert advice on funding
  • Access to employer networks and Trailblazer groups
  • Access to key note speakers as well as development of collateral and use of generic materials to enhance communications and support with marketing etc.

Together with Faculties, we run Apprenticeship Welcome / Information evenings which can supplement course level induction activities and develop understanding on specific challenges, for example, the 20% off-the-job learning requirements. These events are also used to introduce employers to the On-line Mentor Toolkit.

Similarly the event has generated a good number of enhanced relationships through our Apprenticeship Ambassador Scheme (slide 14 onwards)

Sheffield Hallam University is working in partnership with the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) and Emerald Publications to run a national conference “Delivering Quality and Social Mobility”. For more details please contact Sam Moorwood on 07787 006 340.
