With her expertise in productization and servitization, Dr Mountney has worked with leading companies in the UK to develop novel solutions utilising those techniques. . In addition to productization and servitization, Dr Mountney’s research interests focus on six-sigma and lean operations.
Profile:
Dr Mountney has a PhD in Design and Manufacturing Engineering Knowledge Management at Cranfield University, sponsored by Rolls-Royce PLC. As a Research Associate with Warwick Business School Operations Management group, Dr Mountney implemented lean and quality improvements in a fast-growing telecommunications company and researched and wrote four case studies for teaching as part of the Warwick MBA. With SAP Certification, Dr Mountney worked as an Implementation Consultant with CSC, specialising in Materials Management and Production Planning modules and involved in implementation, upgrade and support activities for a range of clients, including defence, utilities, manufacturing and FMCGs. As a member of Mayflower Engineering Enhanced Mentorship Scheme, Dr Mountney contributes to the development of quality systems within the organisation. She is currently investigating the link between productisation and servitisation in engineering organisations, with two case studies on SMEs published so far.
