Profile
Dr Dong Zhang is a senior lecturer in Engineering Management at the Department of Engineering and Mathematics, Sheffield Hallam University. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He joined Sheffield Hallam University after a career at Royal Holloway University of London, where he obtained his PhD. He received his MSc from University of Stirling in Scotland and BEng from Jilin University in China. Dong is currently the course leader for Railway Engineering, a course that has strong collaborative relationships with the UK rail industry .While doing his PhD, Dong was involved in the SCALE project, which received funding by the European Commission, and focused on an Internet-based intelligent tool to support collaborative argumentation-based learning.
