Report and Support – ensuring Sheffield Hallam is a safe and tolerant community

We would like to share with you the launch of Report and Support, our new online system for reporting  sexual violence, harassment and hate crime for both staff and students. This is a key milestone in the University’s commitment to addressing these important issues, and a positive step towards creating an inclusive and supportive culture for all at Hallam. We encourage you to promote use of this resource amongst your colleagues and students.

The Report and Support website offers

  • Online reporting (anonymous or with personal details);
  • Access to specialist support and guidance around formal complaints;
  • All key support information and contacts for victims and those supporting them;
  • Information on new staff training

Student Wellbeing colleagues have already delivered training on Report and Support to colleagues in student support and front facing roles, including those in accommodation and security services. More training is planned and will be advertised on CORE soon. You may have already spotted a number of marketing materials around campus promoting the system including posters on toilet doors, postcards, plasma screen content and posters in student support areas. Links to Report and Support will also be added to the staff homepage and other relevant sites. For students, links can be found on Browzer as well as featuring on MyHallam which launched yesterday (1 October) and the external website.

The team of Sexual Violence Liaison Officers are also always on hand to offer additional information and advice. They can be contacted on and found in Student Wellbeing (Surrey building, Level 1).

With best wishes
Professor Christina Hughes (Provost) and Richard Calvert (Chief Operating Officer).
