University Mental Health Day is on Thursday 1 March and is the biggest day of campaigning for University student and staff mental health.
It is the 6th year that staff and students have worked together to put on events at Sheffield Hallam University. Find out what we did last year here
This year we’re focussing on how to connect to the local community to improve wellbeing, with lots of information and ideas about how to get more involved in what’s going on at SHU and in Sheffield.
- Visit our stands at City Campus (Atrium, Level 2) and Collegiate Campus (Heart of the Campus, Ground Floor). Make a pledge and get ideas about how to connect to your local community
- Guided walks and cycle ride to Meadowhall – the chance to get some fresh air and to take in some local points of interest. Short, local walks start regularly from each stand location or book your cycle ride here
- Evening event – Johnny Benjamin tells the story of ‘The Stranger on the Bridge’, about how a stranger saved his life. Book here
- Student Union events including a volunteer fair, an Eat Well session and much more.
- Books for wellbeing in the Learning Centres including the Meanwhile, Back in the Library exhibition
