This week we’re looking at money making ideas.
We could all do with some extra cash, right? So what can you do?

1) Sell your stuff
Unless you’re a bit of a minimalist, we all have unwanted stuff lying around we should get rid of. Sites such as eBay are usually a good place to start selling those things you no longer need. If unlike me, you didn’t give your 1st generation shiny Charizard to someone in return for not getting beaten up, you could be in for thousands of pounds.
Take a look at Money Saving Experts guide to selling on eBay.
I’ll miss you forever Charizard.

2) Sell your skills
Do you have a voice Morgan Freeman would get jealous of? Are you a talented designer who can bring life to new concepts? If you’re good at something, chances are someone will pay for you for that skill. Damien Hirst pickled a shark and that’s worth 6.5 million pounds; there’s a market for everything. Places like Fiverr are great for selling your freelance talents.
3) Give your opinion
You might be used to people telling you to “mind your own business”, but if you do that too much, you could be narrowing your income opportunities. Companies care what you think about their products and some will pay you to participate in focus groups, surveys, and even product trials.
4) Cashback sites
If you’re going to spend money you might as well earn some whilst doing it. From food shopping to contents insurance, you will be surprised how much money you can claim back by making your purchases through a cashback site. Topcashback and Quidco don’t charge you to sign up, so what do you have to lose?
Happy money making!
And don’t forget, if you want a chance to win some treats and prizes, look out for us tomorrow between 11-2 pm around the entrance to the Owen Building where we will be getting spooky for Halloween.
