If you plan to take a postgraduate master’s course from 1 August 2016, you may be able to get a Postgraduate Loan of up to £10,000 to help with course fees and living costs.

pg LOAN

You have to repay your Postgraduate Loan at the same time as any other student loans you have. You’ll be charged interest from the day you get the first payment.

If you’ve taken out a loan with Student Finance England before, you can use your account to apply.

If you don’t already have one, visit GOV.UK to set up an account.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR APPLICANTS

There have been some issues with course details not displaying correctly for some applicants. If you can’t find your course then check the course duration details you gave earlier in the application process. Where courses are just over 1 year in duration or 18 months in duration Universities have had to to input those courses as 2 years. Amend this field as necessary and see if your course now displays.

If you still can’t find your course details then contact the relevant University Admissions Service for advice. For Sheffield Hallam University this is Admissions Enquiry and Advice, 0114 225 4791 or email admissions@shu.ac.uk.
