Well it’s finally happened…summer has arrived. It’s brilliant to be able to leave the house without your coat/cagoule/ brolley/snowshoes and to feel the warmth on your skin.
But…don’t get too carried away. Remember that too much exposure to the sun can lead to sunburn, heat exhaustion and can cause skin damage and possible skin cancer. So use sun cream with an appropriate protection factor, cover up and generally take care of yourself. Also, remember to spend time in the shade between 11am and 3pm rather than in full sun. So enjoy the sunshine, but stay safe!
You can get some great advice and tips on sun safety on the NHS website here. Also on the Cancer Research UK site here.
