Professor Liz Barnes, Deputy Vice Chancellor, joined forces with representatives from the Students’ Union to sign a pledge of support to end discrimination towards people with mental health problems.
The pledge, part of MIND’s ‘Time to Change’ national campaign, signifies a renewed commitment by the University to eliminate the stigma often experienced by those with a mental health condition.
The pledge-signing event took place last week on Wednesday 8th October, during Sheffield Mental Health Week and leading up to World Mental Health Day on 10th October.
