Many students will be receiving exam and coursework results over the coming weeks. For some, this will be a great relief and a time for celebration. For others, things might not have gone so well and you may be worrying about what to do next if your results aren’t what you were hoping for.
- Failed an assessment or module?
- Wondering if your course is really right for you?
- Had some difficult personal circumstances?

Maximise you feedback
When you receive your results, you will also have the opportunity to read the feedback given by the tutors who marked your work.
- Have you ever been given feedback and felt deflated…or worse, devastated?
- Have you ever been given feedback which has really helped you?
- Ever had feedback which leaves you puzzled because you don’t understand it?
- Do you do group work as part of your studies and need to receive and give feedback?
There are still places available for the Student Wellbeing Maximising Feedback workshop this week!!!
Giving, receiving and using feedback is crucial in learning. Feedback is all around us, from day to day conversations to academic assessment and group work. Unfortunately ‘feedback’ can sometimes be seen as a polite word for ‘criticism’ and can be difficult to understand, or even lower our confidence for a time. Join the Student Wellbeing Adviser for this workshop where you will learn:
- How to receive and understand feedback
- How to give constructive feedback
- To understand the difference between negative criticism and constructive feedback
Date: Wednesday 19 February
Time: 2.30-4.00pm
Place: Room 6613, Adsetts
