Are you interested in doing something for your community? Are you keen to run a project? If you are, then you may be interested in Starbucks Youth Action Grants which are currently available for groups of young people aged 16-24 who want to develop and run projects in their community. It’s worth thinking about because being involved with, or running a community project, can help you to develop good, transferable skills and can look brilliant on your CV.
The grants, which are being administered by Youth Association South Yorkshire, are up to £2,000 and are available for groups of young people aged 16-24. Ideally projects will benefit up to 60 members of the community. You can view previous years’ projects here to get some ideas about what people have done.
If your project is selected, the project leader will need to be available to attend a training day with Starbucks and UKyouth in April 2014 (provisional date 16 April, location to be confirmed).
The closing date for applications is 9:00am on 17 March 2014.
