This week we are having a series of guest blogs, from Tania Clayton from Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union. Tania is reporting on the Students’ Union on Tour which is happening all week. So, over to you Tania…
“Today has been a great start to the Students’ Union on Tour. Armed with 3000 bottles of water, 3000 bags for life, 3000 pens, 3000 sweets and boxes full of information booklets we left the HUBS this morning and have set up a stall in Cantor.
Why are we on tour? We want you to have the best start to semester 2 and tell you about all the great opportunities available at the Students’ Union (we are more than just a bar and coffee shop!). Hear about how to join a Sports Club or Society, sign up to volunteer at one of the many community projects available or enhance your employability by registering for the Hallam Award.
As well as chatting to us and picking up loads of freebies, the students in Cantor have enjoyed snapping away in our pop up photo booth, donning vintage props and posing for the camera for the chance to win a Students’ Union hoodie! Check out @HallamUnion on Twitter for the photos.
Don’t worry if you missed out today you can always come along to the Get Involved Fair in the HUBS on Friday from 11am – 4pm for your chance to pick up loads of freebies, meet all of the Students’ Union Clubs and Societies and see the story of the new Students’ Union brand.”
Thanks Tania. We look forward to hearing from you again tomorrow!
