Already thinking about your accommodation for next year? Then you need to be aware of the Snug Scheme.
The safest way to find private sector accommodation is through Sheffield Hallam University’s Accommodation Services website. That’s because all properties advertised on this website are part of the new Snug Scheme.
Snug is a partnership between the university, landlords and Sheffield City Council to make sure all our students have access to good-quality, safe accommodation in the private sector.
Snug ensures properties are inspected before they are allowed to be advertised on the website, and registered landlords have to agree to a code of practice, which includes management of the properties.
So if you see the Snug badge it means that the property has been approved by the scheme.
