University News: June

Staff Engagement Survey Results

The results of the staff engagement survey were shared in May’s transforming lives sessions. If you were unable to attend one of these, you can find the video and slides showing the University level results here.

Leaders and managers are now using these insights to start to create actions at both a university and local level, and further information will be provided to support managers. Action plans will be developed in collaboration with you to address concerns and build on good practice with a view to further developing the Hallam Deal.

NSS Survey figures

The final figures for the completed NSS for 2019 showed that 77% of our final year students (1% more than last year) completed the survey.

The survey also raised money for Student Minds, the UK’s student mental health charity, who also have a message of thanks for staff:

We are extremely grateful that Sheffield Hallam University have chosen to support Student Minds, and have raised an incredible £13,962! Their generosity will enable us to empower even more students and members of the university community to look after their own mental health, support those around them and create change. Thank you to everyone involved.’
