Sue Bulley, Principal Lecturer and Head of Business and Communications talks about several students who graduated from Law and Criminology. Alex Chaggar was awarded a prize for his significant contribution to international human rights work in the Helena Kennedy Centre:

This project assessed the impact of Wonderbags on women in Lesotho which is now leading to further research and impact assessments, as well as helping to increase publicity about the invention which has a hugely life changing impact on women in Africa.

He also had significant success at the same time on the HKC project in India which contributed to the impact the HKC had in a project that was high profile and very successful”

Fox Ferguson was awarded a prize as the student who has shown outstanding commitment to litigants in person as determined by the Personal Support Unit:

“Fox Ferguson has succeeded in gaining a role at Social Work England as a Hearings Support Officer, after volunteering for two years at the Personal Support Unit supporting litigants in person for which she has won the PSU prize.

Fox also won the PSU interviewing competition this year and participated in the national Client Interviewing Competition. Her commitment to litigants at the court with no representation from lawyers was invaluable.”
