Re-launch of Multi-faith Centre

You can read about the work that went on into the refurbishment and see the changes have been made on the Future Spaces blog.

New Architecture Studios

The Architecture department has recently opened its doors to two newly refurbished studios on Surrey Level 3.

Both studios facilitate the act of ‘creating’; with the innovative, light-filled, and flexible spaces providing an excellent working environment for students and staff within the department.

NCFE Launch

The official opening of our National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering (NCEFE) took place on Friday 18 October.  Around 130 guests attended the launch event, including leading figures from the industry and elected Mayor, Dan Jarvis MP.
Part-funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and the European Regional Development Fund, the state-of-the-art centre will be a catalyst for innovation, forward thinking and problem solving; offering world-class facilities to help keep the UK at the forefront of food and drink manufacturing.

This exciting building development was project managed by Chris Dales in Estates and makes a significant contribution to the regeneration of the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. Thank you to everyone involved in this major piece of work. You can take a look around in this 3D virtual tour of the new building.
