PSP Student Internship success

Lucy Ferguson-Smith who is currently studying for a BA in Sociology, was offered an internship with South Yorkshire Police following an 8 week work placement this summer. As part of this, Lucy has been working with Sheffield Hallam, the University of Sheffield and South Yorkshire Police to examine student targeted burglaries in order to launch a new Student Burglary crime prevention campaign in the city. This is a great example of how work experience can lead to further work opportunities and Lucy has very kindly advised she would be happy to come and speak to students about her placement and internship experiences.
