Hallam academic gives expert evidence to housing crisis inquiry
Professor Ian Cole, Professor of Housing Studies in CRESR recently gave expert evidence to the Housing, Communities and Local Government Select Committee inquiry into the long-term delivery of social and affordable housing. His evidence showcases some of the outstanding policy analysis, research and evaluation undertaken by the Housing Team in CRESR.
Visit from officials of Busan Metropolitan Council in South Korea
On Friday 27 September Ed Ferrari, Director of CRESR, hosted a visiting delegation of 7 officials of Busan Metropolitan Council, South Korea. The visitors were members of Busan’s Welfare and Environment Committee and were interested in understanding UK housing policies aimed at increasing home ownership and affordability among younger people. The visit was arranged through CaCHE (UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence), an ESRC, AHRC and JRF-funded consortium of universities of which SHU is a founding partner and Ed is the Knowledge Exchange lead for the North and Midlands of England.
