PsyPAG Conference- July 2019

From the 23rd – 26th July, Sheffield Hallam University held the PsyPAG conference at Collegiate Campus. A team of Psychology PhD students and ECRs successfully bid to hold the conference, which welcomed postgraduate Psychology students and trainee Psychologists from across the UK. Overall approximately 130 delegates attended the conference and 100 attended the conference dinner at City Hall.

The conference focused on the importance of personal health and well-being particularly whilst undertaking postgraduate studies and took the opportunity to celebrate achievements whilst conducting postgraduate studies. Alongside presentations and workshops, opportunities were provided for delegates to attend mindfulness sessions, yoga, and CPR training to encourage them to take some time out for themselves.

There were a range of different speakers presenting research on all aspects of Psychology. Keynote speakers included; Professor Sir Chris Husbands, Dr Dan Smith (University of Durham), Professor Maddy Arden, Dr Emma Norris (UCL), and Dr Jennie Drabble.
