PhD student Ruth Squire and Professor Colin McCaig, based in CDARE in the SIOE, have had a paper accepted to present at the NEON Summer Symposium ‘The Third Age of Widening Access’, Lancaster University, June 2019:
‘The third age of widening access: evaluating outreach effectiveness and the role of Third Sector Organisations. Drawing on data from OFFA-funded research on evaluation of activities for pre 16 pupils, which identified that Third Sector Organisations were particularly effective in their approaches to evaluation, we explore how TSOs evaluate, where they differ from HEIs and what characteristics both enable & restrict development of evaluation practice.’
