Course Description
This course is designed to enhance your understanding of Continuous Improvement methodology, tools and techniques gained from attendance on the CI modular course. The course focusses on how to use your CI knowledge to design an approach to a workshop, select appropriate techniques to achieve the required results, how to facilitate and manage a group session, and what to do with the outputs. The course combines some theory with practical activities based on SHU examples.
Overall Course Objectives
- To develop an understanding of the practicalities of arranging a workshop
- To gain knowledge about choosing the right approach to meet your objectives, as well as the right tool for the situation
- Improve your ability to plan your workshop effectively
- Develop an understanding of how to use an A3 to support your planning
- Increase your confidence in facilitating and leading workshops
- Increase your understanding of how to capture outputs and develop next steps
Important Notes
- NB: completion of the Continuous Improvement Modular Course is a pre-requisite for this course. If you have experience of alternative CI training (for example you have completed any LEAN training) please contact the CI team on ext: 3772 to discuss.
