\nIn my talk I describe the design of a level 6 biotechnology assignment, in which students work in groups to design biotechnology Twitter \u2018campaigns\u2019. As the task was embedded in \u2018real-life\u2019networks and students created professional non-student identities, they gained experience in communicating science effectively and building a professional online presence.
