What is the Skills Centre?
The Skills Centre offers inclusive academic skills development to all students at SHU. We offer workshops, small group forums and drop-ins for all students to help you to develop your academic skills  throughout your studies.  Example themes include:

  • Presentation skills
  • Research planning
  • Time management

Where to find us

Face-to-face sessions, drop-ins and tutorials are provided at Adsetts and Collegiate Libraries. The Skills Centre in Adsetts Learning Centre

Our off-campus support includes webinars, telephone appointments, and online resources including Skills4Study Campus, a web-based learning resource. You can also find us on the Learning Essentials tab in shuspace, or book onto a session via Unihub.
