We can answer your questions on referencing, information searching, writing critically, planning and structuring your work, formatting your long documents, Maths and Statistics and much more!

On Monday 22nd  June 2020 from 2pm until 4pm we will be holding our very first Virtual Drop-in.  Come along to meet our specialists who will offer one to one expert advice during our 2 hour sessionNo need to book a place – just pop into our virtual waiting room in Blackboard Collaborate and you can meet up with the relevant adviser.  The link is just below.  

The sessions will be friendly and supportive – and you can use video, voice chat or text chat to communicate in a way that you feel most comfortableYou don’t need to download any software – you just follow the link below. We can also signpost you on to further useful sessions where appropriate. 

 

Academic Skills 

Advisers available to help you improve your academic writing skills – to help you understand how to interpret assignment titles and structure your work.  They will be able to help you plan your project and manage your time, alongside ensuring you are able to think and write critically. 

Library & Information Skills 

Librarians will be on hand to help you with searching specialist databases, finding relevant information and help you with your referencing style and techniques. 

Digital Skills 

The Digital Team will help you get the best from our digital tools – such as how to format a long document in Word, how to automatically produce a table of contents, and how to organise your data in a spreadsheet. 

Maths and Stats

The Maths and Stats team can provide support to students from any course – helping you to develop and gain confidence in your numerical skills, and helping you choose and use the best tools for your studies and research.
