Undergraduate Research Poster Showcase event

We’re offering you the chance to present your research at an interdisciplinary research showcase on March 18th 2020. Following the success of our 2019 event, we are keen to propel the showcase to a wider audience, providing all undergraduate students with an opportunity to present their work and research to both staff and students from different areas of the university.

Irrespective of your level of undergraduate study, this event will help to support your personal development, through building communication skills, confidence and knowledge of research practice.

To prepare for the showcase, we are offering you a combination of:

  • Tailored 1-1s
  • ‘Ask the experts’ workshops
  • Online study guides

These sessions will provide guidance for the design, write-up, and communication of research, along with specialist support for poster design software. Additionally, we will be funding all printing costs.

If this sounds like something you may be interested in, then we strongly encourage you to submit an abstract application for this event. We will be accepting submissions from 15th November until 3rd January 2020. By taking part you will have the opportunity to gain Linkedin badges, whist also building a network with researchers and MA course leaders. Participation can also be used as part of your Hallam Award application.

If you have any questions about the event, please don’t hesitate to email either myself (b.anderson1@shu.ac.uk), Mathew Hare (m.hare@shu.ac.uk) or Kirsty Hemsworth (k.hemsworth@shu.ac.uk). If you would like to get involved in the network, please visit our website at: go.shu.ac.uk/ugresearch.
