Guidelines for using external web and social media tools in teaching

Last month we had a blog post which discussed some draft guidelines for staff about the use of externally provided tools, such as social media websites, for teaching purposes.  As mentioned in the previous article, there can be advantages to using the newest and most up to date tools for teaching and learning purposes, but there are also considerations due to the externally-provided nature of them.

We’ve received some staff feedback on the guidelines and used this to create a final version for use by staff. Download the guidance here. However we would still welcome further comments from staff to understand if the guidance covers the correct areas and is helpful to you.
