Introducing shuTech, our student e-learning blog

Our e-learning blog has been a popular source of information for staff around e-learning.  We’ve noticed that some students have been checking it to find out the latest news on such topics, so we thought it was worth starting a blog aimed more directly at student needs.  We’re proud to introduce the launch of the shuTech blog. Of course, anyone is free to look at either blog, it’s just that the articles will be written aimed at particular audiences.

Screenshot of the shuTech blogThe shuTech blog will contain information and news about available technologies that can help support and enhance the student experience.  It’s main purpose is to raise awareness about the possibilities which are out there for students outside of the formal curriculum.  There may be some overlap between articles on the two blogs where content is relevant to both blogs.

shuTech is written and edited by a current student at the University. He is looking for ideas for articles and content from the University as a whole, so if you have any ideas please submit them on the blog.

Specific articles in shuTech will be advertised direct to students via digital signage and screensavers.  Shortly there should be an RSS feed in shuspace that anyone can add as a channel as well.

The address for the shuTech blog is: http://shutech.wordpress.com/
