I was in the middle of making a post about how we can automate mundane student tasks and how we can use technology to manage our mental health…… when I stumbled on this video by Chris Dancy. It made me question what I know about technology, and whether advising people to use technology to manage sensitive matters such as mental health was truly appropriate.
Chris Dancy purchased all of his user-data collected by organisations that monitor his activity, recorded his technology use and collect data about his browsing habits. He then (paid someone) to put all that data into a spreadsheet and identified patterns in his past that he perceived as negative experiences. He changed his life based on the data collected.
