New academic year, new apps to help students make the most of their learning.
This week’s app of the week is called Office Lens. It’s Microsoft’s very useful mobile scanning app that was until recently only available to Windows users. Using your phone or tablet, you can now turn important documents, whiteboards, post-it notes and other such items into a digital format.
All you have to do is snap a photograph of whatever it is you want to save. The app then enhances your photo by cropping, sharpening, and straightening it, to make it look like a scanned image. Office Lens is also integrated into One Note, which means you can add these scanned images to your note for you to retrieve them later. Alternatively, you can export the image to other Office applications such as Word or PowerPoint, download them as a PDF, send them to your email and/or save it to your phone’s gallery.
Office Lens is largely intuitive and easy to use. The app is available to Windows, Android, and Apple users.
How to find it?
