APA Referencing Style: A basic how to guide

While referencing a book, you need to note down the following information:

  1. –Surname and initials of author
  2. –Title of book and subtitle [if any]
  3. –Place of publication: City not country
  4. –Name of publisher

For an electronic book, you will also need to include the web address or DOI. It should look like this:

While referencing a journal article, you need to note down the following information:

  4. Title of journal
  5. Volume number
  6. Part number/issue number
  7. Page extent
