App of the Week: Feedly

I’m sure we all have those favorite blogs and websites we visit ever so often, especially for our daily dose of news, opinions and articles on trending issues. However, visiting multiple sites everyday can be very tedious. Now, here’s an app that will gather all your blogs and websites in one place, so you don’t have to wander. Get Feedly, an RSS feed and new aggregator application that is available as a web application as well across all mobile platforms.

Feedly is free, all you need to do is sign up with an account (you can use Google or Facebook as well) so you can use it on multiple devices. Once you’ve signed up, use the add content feature to search for the blog or website of your choice in the search bar. When you’ve found it, add it to feedly using the small green +feedly button. For those of you who don’t have a specific blog in mind, Feedly offers a number categories to browse through and pick blogs on topics you may find interesting. You can organise all your blogs and websites into categories of your own so you’re able to sort through them quickly.

Go ahead and start using Feedly today so you never have to miss another important update from your favorite blogs and websites. Also, don’t forget to add the SHUtech blog!

Where to get it

The web application for Feedly is available on Feedly.com. You can now add Feedly to Chrome as an extension. The official app is available for iPhone, iPad, Android Phones and Tablets, and Kindle. The app is available from the following app stores:
