Have you ever found yourself going round and round in circles trying to find a particular journal online? Or got stuck using Powerpoint for a presentation that’s due the next day? To add to the stress, this might have happened in the middle of the night, when you think all hope of finding an answer to your problem is out of the question. Well, fortunately, this may no longer be the case as Sheffield Hallam University has teamed up with the University of Northumbria to offer out of hours support for Library and IT enquiries.
The 24/7 helpline can be accessed on the usual number for Learning Centre and IT enquiries: 0114 225 3333, and can offer assistance on matters ranging from accessing e-books and e-journals to enquiries about Microsoft Office or issues regarding logging in or using Blackboard. It could be the answer to your prayers if you’re struck down with a problem whilst working all night before hand-in day!
Remember that during staffed hours at the university you can always visit the Learning Centre Helpdesks for these enquiries, as well as other services including paying library fines.
