Dying Matters
What can you do?
As part of Dying Matters Awareness week, the Sheffield Hallam palliative and end of life care interest group, in partnership with St Luke’s Hospice, planned a range of events to enable students and staff to think about and talk more openly about death, dying and bereavement. The university was part of a city-wide involvement with Dying Matters Awareness week.
- A Wall of Wishes, add your wish

- Open discussions using FINK and grave talk cards
- Writing your will
- A display and discussion of different faiths and practices related to dying, death and bereavement
- Registering as an organ donor
- Discussing funeral options
- How can you respond to a bereaved person?
- Discussing memory boxes and heirloom gifts
- What is your digital legacy?
- Resources available in the library
And of course tea and cake.
