FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

LTU/SHU global partnership joint PhD programme – internal (SHU) call for project proposals

We would like to invite prospective Directors of Study to submit project proposals for PhD scholarships to start Jan/Feb 2021.

The La Trobe and Sheffield Hallam partnership enables us to provide our students with an international learning experience, to work collaboratively on research and innovation projects with global impact and to share good practice and innovative approaches to higher education.

To further strengthen our research collaboration and to provide international opportunities for students, we have developed a joint PhD award. Students enrolled in this collaborative PhD programme will graduate with a degree jointly awarded by both institutions. Students will have a home institution where they will begin their studies and spend the majority of their time, but their supervisory team will comprise academics from both institutions and they will spend a period of time at the other, host, institution.

The purpose of this call is to select the projects we will advertise for a competitive recruitment process. We are inviting project proposals from potential PhD supervisory teams for the first cohort of students, to commence in January or February 2021.

Further information and details on how to submit a proposal can be found in the attached documents.

The lead applicant should submit the completed proposal form to partnerships.grs@latrobe.edu.au by the deadline of 5pm (GMT) on 22 June
