We are running two surveys in May 2019 to capture the views of staff on a range of matters relating to researcher careers. The researcher experience survey (known nationally as CROS) and the research leaders survey (known nationally as PIRLS).
When will the surveys be running?
From Monday 13 May 2019 – Friday 31 May 2019, the Research and Innovation Office (RIO) will be running two biennial surveys.
Who can complete them?
Researcher experience survey (CROS):
You should complete this survey if you are a member of staff who is significantly engaged in undertaking research (regardless of contract type). This survey provides an opportunity to give information on working conditions, careers aspirations and development opportunities from your perspective of working as a researcher at Sheffield Hallam University.
Research leader survey (PIRLS):
You should complete this survey if you are a member of staff who is principally responsible for setting the intellectual direction of research and are also personally responsible for the management of staff undertaking research and/or the formal supervision of postgraduate researchers. This survey asks about experiences of leading research in the UK.
How do staff access them?
These surveys will launch on the 13 May 2019 at Sheffield Hallam University and links to complete them will be emailed to staff.
