Applications are invited for the 21/22 Early Career Research and Innovation Fellowship Scheme. The Fellowship Scheme is open to staff who are on a Teaching and Research or Research Contract who are at an early stage of their research career, whose research interests align with their College (Dept./Research Centre) and Institute strategic plans, and who can demonstrate the potential to be a future independent researcher or future research leader. For the purposes of this scheme, an early career researcher (ECR) is a member of staff who can demonstrate they are at an early stage of their research careers with a proven record of research and/or innovation activity. ECRs will typically be academic staff who have recently completed their Doctorate, or have equivalent research experience, and may also include more experienced academic staff who are restarting their research careers.
Fellowship support will be in the form of research time allocation of 0.4FTE for the academic year 21/22. Up to 8 Fellowships per Research Institute are to be awarded, to support early career researchers across a range of disciplines.
Applicants are encouraged to discuss proposals with their Associate Dean for Research and Innovation or their Research Institute Director.
