Healthy Hallam, Healthy Future

Our ambition for the University is to be recognised as the world’s leading applied university, transforming lives and providing practical solutions to real world problems. Healthy Hallam, Healthy Future is our holistic approach to supporting student and staff wellbeing which we recognise as being a business critical priority underpinning and supporting delivery of the University Strategy.

Vision

Through the Healthy Hallam, Healthy Future vision the University aims to provide supportive and inclusive environments which promote wellbeing and where everyone feels safe and supported.  We will encourage our students to thrive through the development of skills and attributes which enable them to achieve their potential. Staff and students will be equipped with the tools they need to achieve the highest levels of wellbeing and to support others.

Programmes of work

The University pillar boards have approved two programmes of work to help us realise this vision:

Student Wellbeing Programme – Shaping Futures

Staff Wellbeing Programme – BaGU

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing

Both of these Programmes have at their heart the 5 Ways to Wellbeing which are illustrated below:
