A whole week of events for anyone to get involved with including salsa dancing, exercise classes, live music, film screenings etc. The whole University gets involved in SHU Fest including our catering outlets who serve up food from all corners of the world for a fantastic price for one week only.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Freebie Fair<\/strong> The freebie fair is by far one of the busiest events the <a href=\"http:\/\/hallamunion.org\/\">Student\u2019s Union<\/a> put on. There are lots of stalls giving away free stuff, free vouchers, discount vouchers and much more. It\u2019s a great place to find out what\u2019s on offer in Sheffield and find out about the companies who give student discounts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Get Active Week<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/getactiveweek\">Get Active Week <\/a>is a week-long festival of fun, free activities! It\u2019s a chance to try something new, have fun and take a small step toward a more active lifestyle, whatever your level of fitness. With over 50 activities to choose from, it couldn\u2019t be easier. It\u2019s all completely free and there\u2019s no need to book in advance \u2013 just get involved on the day. There are even prizes and rewards on offer, just for taking part.<\/li>\n<li><strong>VARSITY: Sheffield Hallam University vs The University of Sheffield.<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shef.ac.uk\/union\/varsity\/\">Varsity<\/a> is a celebration of the sporting talents across the two Universities. Whether you\u2019re part of a team or enjoy watching sports, this is an event everyone can get involved in!<\/li>\n<li><strong>SOCIETY FAIR<\/strong> There are over 60 societies for you to join in all sorts of areas including course, faith and appreciation. There\u2019s a society for everyone, but should you see a gap in the market you can always set up your own by contacting the <a href=\"http:\/\/hallamunion.org\/\">Student\u2019s Union<\/a>. It is only a short trip away from Sheffield city centre and there are regular trains, trams and buses running from the city.<\/li>\n<li><strong>To be or not to be?<\/strong> Sheffield has fantastic venues for theatrical performances in the centre of town.
