What Professional Checks do I need to complete?
Following your offer of a place on the course, you will receive a welcome email asking you to complete three mandatory compliance checks. You will also have received a checklist to help you keep track and ensure all pre enrolment tasks are completed. The Professional check requirements include:
- Suitability Declaration (click to complete the MS Form only if you have not yet done this),
- DBS check and
- Occupational Health Questionnaire.
What should I do before the event?
- Read your welcome email
- Use your checklist to ensure you have completed all professional checks and admissions requirement
- Complete these checks as soon as possible as failure to complete all the professional checks could result in your enrolment being delayed, a deferral to your start date or offer being withdrawn.
What can I ask Professional Checks at the event?
o Prior to the event ensure you have emailed your UG degree certificate to educationadmissions@shu.ac.uk
o Bring the original copy of your degree certificate to the event for checking (we can only check your degree at the event if admissions have verified if electronically first)
o If you are yet to receive your degree certificate, we will contact you later in the year to arrange to view this.
- DBS check support (if you need help)
- Bring acceptable ID with you to the Post Application event
- Please check permitted documents
Where will Professional Checks be on the event day?
First floor of the Strines building (where the Welcome event is taking place) from 9-10am and from 12pm.
