Mick Hood – HR Director, Liberty Steel

Mick Hood has worked for 37 years in the steel industry starting as a Technical apprentice in 1979 at Stocksbridge part of British Steel Corporation.
Mick qualified as a Metallurgical Technician in 1984 with a HNC at Sheffield Polytechnic and has held various technical and operational roles since then. He obtained his MBA at Aston Business School, graduating in 2004.
He moved into HR in 2000 and has held various roles including a spell working in various UK locations.
Since 2008 Mick had held the role of H.R. Director for the Speciality business within Tata Steel covering South Yorkshire, West Midlands, the North West and China. Recently he has taken the role as HR Director, Liberty Steel in the UK.
Jodie Marshall – Managing Director, A Mind Apart Theatre Company Limited
Entrepreneur in Residence, Sheffield Hallam University
Jodie Marshall is the founder and Managing Director of A Mind Apart Theatre Company.
A Mind Apart is a social enterprise working with children, young people and adults with the aim of making performing arts accessible and providing safe spaces for people to grow and develop through performing arts.
Jodie also works as a consultant, coach and mentor within the third sector, social business sector and supporting small businesses (with particular interest in supporting creative businesses). This includes acting as Chair of Trustees on a UK based Charity and recently working with an international/London based charity called Initiatives of Change.
Sally Evans – Director, Millichamp Limited
Executive in Residence, Sheffield Hallam University
Sally Evans is a director at Millichamp, a strategic marketing & communications consultancy, advising organisations on brand, marketing and communications.
She works with start-ups and established brands/ companies, helping to build clarity around purpose and proposition, supporting them in building engagement and value with both internal and external audiences.
Prior to establishing Millichamp, she spent almost ten years at learndirect, the skills provider, latterly as Director of Marketing & Communications. During her tenure the organisation was recognised as a Business Superbrand. Previously, Sally was a director at international PR agency, Weber Shandwick.
Sally is also a trustee of the perinatal mental health charity, Light, and is a qualified athletics coach.
Will Harper – Restaurant Manager, The Ivy (York)
Executive in Residence, Sheffield Hallam University
Will Harper is the restaurant manager of The Ivy in York. Will oversees the day to day service of the restaurant and is responsible for the standard of service the waiting team deliver and the experience of the guest. The Ivy is the busiest restaurant in York and take pride in offering the best service therefore it is not always a simple job.
Will started in fulltime hospitality with Malmaison Liverpool upon leaving University and worked with the company for over five years across Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin progressing to Acting General Manager.
Food and Beverage is his passion and after another role which was more food and beverage orientated in another hotel he decided to make the move to stand alone restaurants.
Will was presented with an SBS alumni special recognition award in 2015 for his support and contribution to Sheffield Business School.
